OZ ARAL
SAFe 5® Program Consultant, Coach, and Instructor
Combining his academic passions in for Business Administration with over 23 years of experience in Software Engineering and Development, Oz Aral has spent his career devoted to customer focused success by embracing, engaging, and enabling the brilliance of the very people he works with. During his global adventure Oz has engaged in diverse roles across a variety of industries, and in recent years a passionate leader in embracing transformations under Agile business methodologies.
Success is measured by the value a customer receives, delivered by the very talent an organization depends upon. Oz's relentless pursuit has been toward maximizing this value, starting with the bright and capable people who possess this talent. Obsessed with ownership, quality, and efficiency, Oz's greatest pride has been in the energy he expends toward engaging and unlocking the very confidence and capability buried within the able minds of a team.
Oz is a certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) Program Consultant (SPC5), and is a passionate transformation agent, educator, and coach in Agile disciplines. He has been educated with a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on Information Systems from the University of Southern California.
VALERIE LAYTON
Director of Operations, SAFe 5® Program Consultant, Coach, and Instructor
Valerie Layton is a Safe5 certified Scrum Master and Product Owner/Product Manager. She has hands on experience as both Scrum Master and Product Owner with a fortune 500 company, and led a multitude of diverse globe spanning teams through the highs and lows of product development cycles. Her experience has given her the clarity and tools to harmonize disparate thinking, including in culturally diverse environments. Valerie’s approach to Agile is to reinforce empowerment and ownership at every level of an organization. She coaches these core concepts in lockstep with maximizing team cohesion.
Valerie is a Project Manager by trade, having worked in security and fire safety platform development, and corporate risk management. She has 13+ years of coordinating teams and data, across time zones and continents, and believes each of us has leadership capability. Whether it’s driving innovation, implementing change or managing teams or projects, every Agile practitioner can tap their leadership ability by implementing and embodying Agile tenants. Valerie has a MA in International Relations from Boston University and a BA in Communications from the University of Southern California.
